FAQ
Because we are all unique, I plan and tailor your therapy to best match your needs, individual requirements and personality type. I use an integrative approach based upon your individual needs. While there is no guarantee that therapy will solve your problem, it is my intention to help you to help yourself, by facilitating a deep awareness of what is actually troubling you and helping you to empower yourself to make appropriate changes. What you are paying for is my professional time, experience and commitment to help you at this stage in your life. I may ask you to do ‘homework’ between sessions as part of our partnership in therapy. It is up to you to follow through on these tasks to maximise the positive benefits of therapy. All therapies are effective treatments for those who are ready to commit to change.
I guarantee to be 100% committed to helping you to help yourself and give you the best possible treatment I can. However, I cannot guarantee you will achieve your desired outcome – you are the only one who can guarantee your success within parameters that are reasonable.
The Therapy Agreement is simply confirmation of a mutual understanding on expectations and responsibilities during the therapeutic relationship. It covers basic areas such as confidentiality, structure of a session, appointments, cancellations, expectations and fees. The name of the next of kin is also requested in the event of an emergency for the protection of the client.
Yes. If you wish to maximise the benefit of your sessions, I will ask you to do some short daily reflective journalling in which you record your thoughts, feelings and dreams and reflect on the meaning and patterns that emerge. If you prefer not to undertake assignments/homework, that’s fine too. It is purely a personal choice and one that is always respected.
In short – smart people. Often people say they don’t know why exactly they are coming other than stating that they are unhappy with their lives and need some direction. Some are floundering in their relationships; grief stricken with bereavement of a loved one; suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, anxieties, fears, and phobias. Others are going through major life changes or spiritual crisis and are looking for a trained professional to help them sort things out.
Payments are made using Stripe online where you can use your Visa or MasterCard to input payment securely.
As soon as the Covid 19 pandemic is over, I will resume face to face session at the clinic in Rathgar.
No. Sessions are private and may not be recorded.
I am committed to helping you to help yourself and give you the best possible treatment I can. However, I cannot guarantee you will achieve your desired outcome – you are the only one who can guarantee your success through commitment and perseverance to achieve your goal.
